Who we are
87Street is a DBA of Unboredly LLC. In these terms "87Street", "we" and "us" mean Unboredly LLC, doing business as 87Street.
87Street is a marketplace. It connects people who want a service with independent professionals who provide it. The professional, not 87Street, performs the service and is responsible for it.
These terms are a draft for review. They are not legal advice.
Your account
You must be 18 or older to hold an account. One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in, so keep it to yourself.
Bookings for anyone under 18 are made by a parent or guardian, who stays reachable during the service.
Booking and paying
A booking is confirmed when the professional accepts it, or immediately for professionals who take instant bookings. Prices, deposits and the free-cancellation window are shown before you confirm.
A 3% service fee (minimum $0.99, maximum $4.99) is added to each booking and goes to 87Street. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Until live payments are switched on, no card is charged.
Cancellations and no-shows
Cancel inside the professional’s free-cancellation window and your deposit comes back in full. Cancel later and the professional keeps the deposit. If the professional cancels, you are refunded in full.
If you do not show up, the professional keeps the deposit. If the professional does not show up, you are refunded in full and can report it.
Professionals
Professionals pay a membership of $9.99 a month after a 21-day free trial, and can cancel at any time. 87Street charges a commission only on clients it brings a professional, on their first four completed visits: 20% of the first (at most $50) and 5% of the second, third and fourth (at most $15 each). From the fifth visit there is no commission. Customers a professional brings through their own link, QR code, invite or import never carry a commission. Professionals pay standard card processing on the service amount. During the beta none of this is charged; it starts only when live payments open, with notice.
Professionals confirm that they hold the licenses and insurance their craft and state require, and that the photos on their storefront are their own work.
Professionals whose crafts serve minors complete identity verification before going live, and a background check once that is switched on.
A professional who adds a customer’s phone number or email to their list confirms they know that person. 87Street never texts those numbers; a professional who wants to text their link sends it from their own phone.
Notifications and text messages
We send booking notifications in the app and by email. Text messages are off until you turn them on, and follow the Text message terms at 87street.app/sms.
Conduct
Be on time, be respectful, keep the conversation on 87Street. Asking to be paid outside 87Street, harassment, discrimination and threats end your account.
Either side can block the other at any time and report a problem from the booking.
Location and addresses
We use your approximate location to show professionals who can reach you. A house-call address is shared with the professional only after a booking is confirmed.
Ending your account
You can delete your account from your profile at any time. Your sign-in, profile, photos and conversations are removed. Records of completed payments are kept as required for accounting, with your personal details stripped.
Liability
87Street provides the marketplace and does not supervise the service. To the extent the law allows, 87Street is not liable for the service itself. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law of your state.
Changes
When these terms change we show you the new version and record your acceptance.
